Ever since All India Bakchod (AIB) 'roasted' Bollywood hunks Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, the entire issue has been quite the talk of the town. In a recent development, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that action will be taken if AIB roast is found vulgar and not in accordance with the law.
While some of the celebrities present at the show, including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Anurag Kashyap and Sanjay Kapoor were also made fun of during the roast, they took it sportingly and laughed along with the rest of the crowd. Apparently, prior consent was taken from these celebrities before the show.
However, some who were taken digs at were not informed about it including actress Farida Jalal. According to Mid-day, the veteran actress was not amused by the roast.
“I saw a bit of it and then didn't watch it further. Naturally people do not like it because it's not our culture. What do I say about those kids? All I can say is god bless them. I don't know if they poked fun at me because I didn't watch the entire show or was there something else. No one told me either,” said the actress.
